Scathing Reactions to BORDERLANDS Surface Calling Movie "Uninspired," "Unfunny," and "A Disaster"
The first reactions to Eli Roth’s Borderlands have hit social media, and they are not good. I honestly wasn’t expecting this movie to be any good because Roth isn’t really the best filmmaker, so these reactions aren’t really surprising.
The movie is described as a “complete mess,” “a disaster,” “unwatchable,” and “uninspired.” It’s a shame because this could’ve been a great movie had the studio actually hired the right creative talent.
So, I guess if you plan on watching this movie at some point, don’t expect it to be good! Read through the reactions below and let us know what you think.
In the film, “Lilith, an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas, the universe’s most powerful S.O.B.
“Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland, a seasoned mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina, a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg, Tina’s musclebound protector; Tannis, the oddball scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap, a wiseass robot.
“Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets.
“The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other. Based on one of the best-selling videogame franchises of all time, welcome to BORDERLANDS.”
The movie stars Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis, Kevin Hart as Roland, Jack Black's character Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, and Florian Munteanu as Krieg.
Borderlands will be released in theaters on August 9, 2024.
