SCHOOL SPIRITS Renewed for Season 3 at Paramount+ as Viewership Soars
Paramount+ is keeping the supernatural drama School Spirits alive as the streaming service has officially renewed the hit series for a third season, which is set to premiere in 2026. Given the show’s growing popularity, this news isn’t really surprising.
I haven’t watched the show myself yet, but Season 2 wrapped just two weeks ago, and the latest season saw a major audience surge, drawing an average of 3.9 million viewers in its first 28 days, which is an impressive 94% increase from the first season’s debut.
Shauna Phelan, Head of Live Action Scripted Series and Film for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon said in a statement:
“We are so thrilled to bring School Spirits back to our devoted audiences for another season of masterful storytelling brought to life by Peyton List and the incredible cast.
“Co-showrunners Oliver Goldstick, Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud have an exceptional ability to capture the complexity and nuance of the teen experience, while also keeping audiences on their toes with the unexpected mystery, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the students of Split River High next season.”
Season 2 continued Maddie’s (Peyton List) journey through the afterlife as she pieced together the mystery surrounding her own death. Now aware of what happened to her, she’s determined to reunite both spectral and living allies to reclaim her stolen life.
Alongside List, the cast includes Kristian Ventura, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Josh Zuckerman, and Milo Manheim.
School Spirits is produced by Awesomeness TV and created by Nate and Megan Trinrud, who serve as co-showrunners alongside Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars, Bridgerton). List also takes on a producer role for the series.
With the show’s growing fanbase and the creative team’s knack for keeping audiences on engaged and on edge, School Spirits is proving to be a must-watch for supernatural drama lovers. I’ll eventually jump in and watch it.
