Sci-Fi Novel ACROSS THE VOID Being Developed at Universal

This Tuesday, July 2nd, S.K. Vaughn’s sci-fi thriller novel, Across the Void hits shelves in bookstores everywhere, and plans are already in the works to see the book adapted for the big screen.

The novel is being adapted by Skybound Entertainment, Circle of Confusion, and Universal Pictures. Shane Kuhn, who wrote the novel under the pen name Vaughn, will write the script. Deadline reports the following synopsis:

Commander Maryam “May” Knox’s fight for survival after she wakes up alone in a ruined spacecraft in Jupiter orbit, and attempts to survive and return to Earth.

Everything is obviously very early in the process, but it must be a pretty great story if it is getting snatched up so fast for an adaptation. Does this pique your interest? Will you be checking out this book while you wait for the movie?
