Sci-Fi Short Film TWO WORLDS Tells The Tale of Two Unlikely Friends

For the past five years, filmmaker Andy Lefton has been working on the animation, compositing, effects, and sound design for his short film "Two Worlds," which tells the story of a robot who crash-lands on a desolate planet and a stranded alien who helps it. The short is finally finished, and you can check it out in full in the player below. It's very obviously influenced by Star Wars (the Tatooine-esque desert planet, the Max Rebo-looking character design for the alien, the occasional wipe transition), but there's a bit of WALL*E in there too. Though no words are spoken in the short, the expressive eyes of the characters tell you everything you need to know. Thanks to Andy for sending this our way.
