Science Says That Knowing Spoilers Might Actually Make You Enjoy a Story More

VideosMovie by Joey Paur

When it comes to spoilers, I’m not really bothered by them. For the most part I read spoilers all the time. Very rarely do I pass up on the opportunity to know any spoilers for any number of movies or TV shows. I’ll take what I can get!

I’ve personally never felt that that my viewing experience of anything that I’ve known major plot points about has been hindered. In fact, I kind of like know what to expect. One of the most recent films for me for this was Avengers: Infinity War. I was told every major plot point of that film months before it came out and I still loved the hell out of it!

I know not everyone is going to agree with my opinion on spoilers, but now science and scholarly articles are backing me up! There’s a video essay for you below which breaks down the reasons why spoilers might actually be good. They may even make you enjoy a story even more!

Watch the video below explaining everything and let us know what you think! Are you on board the spoiler train, did this video essay talk you into jumping on board? Or are you still going to avoid spoilers like the plague?
