SPIDER-MAN Movie Villain Is Rumored to Appear in Marvel's WHAT IF...? Season 3

The animated Marvel series What If…? is on a roll, having just wrapped up its well-received second season, and looking forward to the events of season 3. The fun part about What If…? is that we never know what’s going to happen next, because every scenario is imagined. But we may have one piece of season three’s storyline figured out, thanks to a trusted industry scooper.

There have been talk for a while that a Spider-Man villain is going to appear in the show, and if scooper @CanWeGetToast is to be believed, that villain will be Quentin Beck, a.k.a. the villainous Mysterio, who was played by Jake Gyllenhaal in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

No additional information has been revealed, but What If...? director Bryan Andrews says they are figuring out the third season, and we should see it sometime between late 2024 early 2025. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently airing on Disney+.
