Scott Eastwood Joins the Growing Cast of FAST 8
Producers of the Fast and Furious franchise took to twitter yesterday to announce that Scott Eastwood has joined the cast of Fast 8. He will play a protege of Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell). Eastwood also posted a statement on Instagram conveying his excitement to join the franchise, his admiration for Russell, and his love for Paul Walker, who was a friend of his. Eastwood’s career has been taking off lately. He is currently filming the action movie Overdrive in France and has three other films in post-production. Unfortunately, I have only seen him in The Longest Ride, which is even worse than you think. His acting was fine, though.
In addition to Russell, Eastwood joins (of course) Vin Diesel and other returning cast members Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Lucas Black, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jason Statham. Charlize Theron and Kristofer Hivju will be playing villains in the new movie. Straight Outta Compton's F. Gary Gray will direct the film, which is due out in almost exactly one year, on April 14, 2017.
