Scott Speedman Joins Yvonne Strahovski in Peacock Horror Thriller Series TEACUP
Actor Scott Speedman (Felicity, Grey’s Anatomy, You) is joining Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck) in the Peacock horror thriller series, Teacup. Inspired by the Robert McCammon novel “Stinger,” the series is said to follow “a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.” Speedman will play James Chenoweth, while Strahovski will star as Maggie Chenoweth.
Ian McCulloch serves as writer and executive producer on “Teacup.” E.L. Katz will direct the first episode and executive produce. James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett all executive produce on behalf of Atomic Monster. Francisca X. Hu, Kevin Tancharoen, and McCammon all executive produce as well. Strahovski will produce in addition to starring. UCP is the studio.
“Teacup” is one of two recent series orders for Atomic Monster at Peacock. It was recently announced that the streamer had ordered an untitled espionage sci-fi thriller series from the company with Simu Liu attached to star. Thomas Brandon is the writer and co-showrunner of that series, with Jennifer Yale also joining as co-showrunner.
