SCREAM 6 Actor Dermot Mulroney Shares Details on His Character and His Connection to Ghostface

Scream 6 is going to do some different and interesting things with the franchise as the next chapter of the story will be set in New York City instead of Woodsboro. Dermot Mulroney is part of the great ensemble cast and in a recent interview with ScreenRant, he shared some details on his character and his connection to Ghostface, saying:

“Yeah, I play a cop, so finally they’re asking me to play cops here and there, this is one of them. I guess I shouldn’t say that my daughter is one of the victims… but I don’t have to describe how or in what way, so that’s what draws me into the story is strong family ties.”

So, it looks like his character is going to have a deep connection with the Ghostface killer, whoever that will be in the next movie.

The movie also stars Melissa Barrera as Sam, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy, Mason Gooding as Chad, Jenna Ortega as Tara, and Hayden Panettiere (Scream 4). Courteney Cox is also coming back. New cast members include Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (Ghostwriter), Josh Segarra (Arrow), Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), Tony Revolori (Spider-Man), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not).

Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are deep into production on Scream 6, which continues the story “with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”

I’m a huge Scream fan, but I’m less excited about this movie, especially with Neve Campbell not returning to the role of Sydney. That’s a bummer. Scream 6 will be released in theatres worldwide on March 31, 2023.
