SCREAM 6 Adds Samara Weaving and Tony Revolori to the Cast
Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) and Tony Revolori (Spider-Man) are the latest actors to join the cast of Scream 6. The film is being developed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who previously worked with Weaving on Ready or Not.
They actually reached out to Weaving for a role in the last Scream movie; she wasn’t able to be a part of it due to her schedule. Weaving told Collider back in 2020, “We were talking about it, but our schedules aren’t gonna work, which is a bummer. We talked about it a lot, but unfortunately, because of scheduling, I couldn’t do it.”
It’s good to hear that they managed to bring her into the upcoming sequel! She and Revolori will join Melissa Barrera as Sam, Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy, Mason Gooding as Chad, Jenna Ortega as Tara, Hayden Panettiere (Scream 4), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding, Insidious Chapter 3, Zodiac). Courteney Cox is also coming back. New young cast members include Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Liana Liberato (The Beach House), Devyn Nekoda (Ghostwriter), Josh Segarra (Arrow), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not).
The next film continues the story “with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”
Scream 6 will be released in theaters worldwide on March 31, 2023.
