SCREAM Meets HEATHERS in a Social Media Era in Trailer For The Horror Teen Comedy TRAGEDY GIRLS

The first trailer has been released for a new horror teen comedy called Tragedy Girls. The film is described as mix of Heathers and Scream in a social media run era and that's pretty much a perfect description. Murder becomes trendy! Here's the synopsis:

Best friends Sadie and McKayla are on a mission to boost their social media fandom as amateur crime reporters hot on the trail of a deranged local serial killer. After they manage to capture the killer and secretly hold him hostage, they realize the best way to get scoops on future victims would be to, you know, murder people themselves. As the @TragedyGirls become an overnight sensation and panic grips their small town, can their friendship survive the strain of national stardom? Will they get caught? Will their accounts get verified?

The movie has been getting great reviews and it looks like the kind of crazy and entertaining murder comedy that I'd enjoy watching. You know... because sometimes murder is funny... in movies.

Tragedy Girls stars Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool) and Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse) as the two murdering psychopaths. It also stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) and Craig Robinson (The Office), who is also a producer.

Tragedy Girls was directed by Tyler MacIntyre and it's set to be released on October 20th.
