Scripts Are Written For Lucasfilm's OBI-WAN KENOBI Series and It Will Start Shooting Next Year

We already knew that Ewan McGregor was coming back to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the new series coming to Disney+, but he showed up today at Disney’s D23 Expo and officially confirmed it!

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy also announced that the scripts for Obi-Wan Kenobi have all been written and they are ready to start shooting next year! They were farther along with this show than I thought, and that’s fantastic!

There were no other details given, but I’m really curious to see what kind of news stories and adventures they have planned for this classic character.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will be the third Star Wars series coming to Disney+. The other two that have been announced are The Mandalorian and the Rogue One prequel series featuring Cassian Andor.
