SCRUBS Creator Working on Comedy Set in Space For NBC
Bill Lawrence, the creator of Scrubs, is developing a new sitcom for NBC based in space. A.V. Club writes that Spaced Out will be based on commercial space travel in the not-so-distant future. So...like a live-action Futurama? Probably not, but let's hope it's just as good! It's not often we see a sci-fi comedy flourish in the mainstream!
No real details on casting or anything beyond the premise, but I think it's safe to say this will not be Zach Braff's return to television. (Editor's note: Braff is reportedly returning to ABC in a new show called Start Up.)
