SD GUNDAM WORLD Is a New Anime Coming This Summer

The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise is turning 40 this year, and to celebrate, there’s a new SD Gundam project in the works. In the spring, two comics and the gunpla will be released. SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden: Soshoki will feature Cao Cao while SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden: Enkotan will have its focus on Sun Jian. Then, in July, a new anime will be released. I will probably check out SD Gundam World when it comes out, but I struggle with the SD spin-offs. The designs are cool and fun. I like chibi Gundam. I struggle with the idea that the Gundam are like people and are not just mecha being piloted. That, and the last time I tried watching an SD series it felt extremely juvenile.
