Season 2 of Ryan Murphy's Series FEUD Will Focus on Princess Diana and Prince Charles

As a fan of Ryan Murphy's various series, I'm looking forward to his next project, Feud. The first season will focus on the legendary rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, and it looks great!

Even though Feud: Bette and Joan has yet to premiere, season two has officially been announced, and it will focus on the strained relationship between Princess Diana and Prince Charles. It's called Feud: Charles and Diana, and FX greenlit it for ten episodes.

Charles and Diana’s 1981 wedding was a worldwide media event, turning the 20-year-old princess into a global superstar. But behind the royal grandeur the couple was miserable from the get-go, as has been well-documented during the past 30 years. The pair formally divorced in 1996, just a year before Diana’s tragic death at the age of 36 following a car crash in Paris.

This series is sure to include some touchy subject matter for the royal family. These series aren't really being made to paint things in a positive light. There are no other details on the series or who will be cast, but I imagine we'll see some of Murphy's usual suspects involved. It's not hard to imagine someone like Sarah Paulson (The People Vs. O.J. Simpson, American Horror Story) in the role of Princess Diana, but we'll have to wait and see what Murphy ends up doing.

The first season of Feud will premiere on FX on March 5th. I imagine season two will premiere in 2018.
