Season Finale of THE WALKING DEAD Has Been Postponed to Later This Year

We got the news that the season finale for the 10th season of AMC’s hit series The Walking Dead has been postponed indefinitely. We will still get the next two episodes on March 29th and April 5th, but the April 12th finale will not be released on schedule. A friend of the site who works for the show said that the crew has been hard at work these past few weeks, scrambling to edit and complete the episodes in time, but due to the restrictions the nation is facing, they are unable to finish the finale at this time. Producer Ryan DeGard shared this statement on Facebook:

“Sorry everyone, we will finish our amazing season finale up and get it out there as soon as we possibly can! I feel so bad that we aren't able to carry it across the finish line, but with the state and nationwide mandates in place, there is only so much we can do from afar. Many of our partners in the post process are closed down at the moment and can not help us complete all of the tasks we have left. My post and VFX team have worked tirelessly in the last few weeks to try and get us there. For now, take care of your loved ones and help to flatten the curve. Stay safe and healthy! On the bright side, it has been an amazing season and the next couple of episodes are fantastic and we got those delivered just in time to make it to air! Enjoy!!!”

This season has been the best one in a while in my opinion! The last two episodes have pushed the story a lot further than I expected, and I can’t wait to see how it plays out. A lot of awesome stuff has happened, and there is still a lot on the table to be sorted out. (I’m being vague here, in case you’re not caught up. But seriously, get caught up. It’s so good.)

Anyway, this is a bummer, but it’s understandable. We want everyone to stay healthy and safe, so if that means we wait a little longer for an awesome season finale, so be it. Plus, if we get the finale in a month or two, it’s kind of dragging out the season to last a little longer. Like a late birthday present. I’m trying to look on the bright side. But we will keep you all updated when we know more.
