SECRET INVASION Is Marvel's First Series to Get a Rotten Score on Rotten Tomatoes

The Marvel series Secret Invasion has wrapped at Disney+, and it’s ending on a sour note, becoming Marvel’s first Rotten show on Rotten Tomatoes, with its finale sitting at 13%. The episode, titled “Home,” brought the show’s average down to 57%. That gives it a rotten score, according to Rotten Tomatoes’ metrics.

Stars of the series Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle were praised for their performances, but the negative reviews seem to point to the idea that the show did not live up to its premise as an engaging spy thriller.

The official synopsis for Secret Invasion reads: “Set in the present-day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”
