Secrets Around STRANGER THINGS Season 3 Are Making Casting Hard

Carmen Cuba is the casting director for Stranger Things, and her job has not been easy for season 3. In an attempt to prevent spoilers, more and more shows and movies are upping their measures to maintain secrets. Unfortunately, that is making it hard for Cuba to fill some roles. In her own words:

“There’s a certain storyline that’s challenging that we have to keep going back to the well for. . . . There’s a lot of secrecy, and we can’t say what parts we’re looking for, so it’s still a weird challenge. I know that if we said, ‘We’re looking for this and it’s for Stranger Things,’ we would have tons more options, but it’s still a lot of work.”

This is quite the measure. Clearly whatever the role is will relay some meaningful information if it were to end up on the Internet. And let’s face it, it would very likely end up on the Internet. Sadly, we’ll have to wait until 2019 to see the third season of Stranger Things.
