See Benedict Cumberbatch Sing Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb"
If you've ever listened to a classic rock radio station, you're familiar with Pink Floyd's 1974 song "Comfortably Numb." But chances are extraordinarily high that you've never heard it with Benedict Cumberbatch on lead vocals. Thanks to Uproxx, you can change that by watching the video below, in which the Sherlock and Doctor Strange actor joins guitarist David Gilmour on stage and sings the verses, which used to be performed by bassist Roger Waters before Waters left the band. He does a pretty excellent imitation — if I weren't watching the video and seeing him do this with my own eyes, there's nothing in the vocal performance that would indicate it's Cumberbatch singing.
Oh come on, video, you're going to fade out during one of the greatest guitar solos of all time?! You're killin' me!
Update: An earlier version of this article stated that Roger Waters had passed away. That's not true — he's very much alive. I apologize and regret the error.
