See How 9/11 Changed the Ending of Disney's Animated Film LILO & STITCH

The original final action sequence in Disney's Lilo & Stitch features a 747 commercial airliner flying through a city destroying peoples and terrifying people. After the tragic event of 9/11, Disney decided to take that scene out and replace it with an alien spacecraft flying through mountains on the Hawaii islands. The scene works both ways, but the original is definitely has a bit more edge-of-your-seat excitement. Disney obviously made the right decision in changing things up. Thanks to YouTuber Ricky Marckstadt, you can watch a side-by-side comparison of the two sequences to see the drastic changes that were made. It's pretty cool to watch!

Scenes from Lilo & Stitch originally looked very different. This is how 9/11 changed the movie.
