See How Captain Phasma Got Her Chrome Armor in This Cool Mash-Up
After being hyped as one of the coolest badasses of the Star Wars cinematic universe, Captain Phasma was a complete and utter disappointment in The Force Awakens. It seems like there might have been some material that was left on the cutting room floor because J.J. Abrams has said actress Gwendoline Christie gave his favorite performance in the whole movie, but as she appears in the final movie, she's shockingly ineffectual and — spoiler alert — doesn't even put up a fight when she's captured by Finn, Han, and Chewie late in the movie. She just gets shoved in a trash compacter...off camera, no less. I know there are big plans for her moving forward, but from what we've seen of her so far, you can see why she's at the bottom of my rankings of The Force Awakens' new characters.
