See Link's Iconic Shield Built in Real Life

Along with his green hood, it's arguable that Link's most iconic piece of identifying gear is his Hylian shield. The shield has saved The Legend of Zelda hero's life on numerous occasions (not to mention the digital lives of many Smash Bros. players), and now the team at Man at Arms: Reforged have built a staggeringly awesome recreation of it. It's really cool to see these guys work, because even though they have some modern technology, this isn't a 3D printed rush job — these people are putting some real sweat into their work, and it shows in the final product. It's all the more impressive that blacksmiths used to forge real things like this back in the day, and it makes me really appreciate the prop work that goes into fantasy films like The Lord of the Rings and its contemporaries.
