See The Amazing PREDATOR Reference in MORTAL KOMBAT X
Fans have been waiting for their chance to play Mortal Kombat X as the Predator from John McTiernan's 1987 action classic. We knew the character was coming as a part of some DLC (watch the reveal trailer here), and we knew that we'd be able to play with a Carl Weathers-themed skin, but I had no idea how awesome this would actually look.
My favorite moment from Predator is when Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch meets up with Weathers' Dillon. Watch that quick clip below:
Kotaku points out that the Predator DLC has arrived early for some players, and they've been pointing out some of the references to the film they've noticed in the game. The best one is a reference to the moment above, in which you select the Carl Weathers skin and the Commando Johnny Cage skin, and the two characters engage in that ridiculous arm wrestle-handshake from the video clip above. They also point out that there's a less obvious reference elsewhere in the game. There's a scene in the film in which Arnold sees the Predator's face for the first time and says, "You're one ugly motherfu**er," and apparently if you select the character Erron Black and perform an X-ray move, you can see a reference to that on Black's bullet:
Now I really just want to watch Predator again.
