SEGA Announces New Gear to Celebrate SONIC THE HEDGEHOG's 30th Anniversary
Next year, 2021, will be the 30th anniversary for the famous blue hedgehog named Sonic. To celebrate the occasion, SEGA is pulling out some new Sonic the Hedgehog merchandise for fans to enjoy. This includes a re-launch of the energy drink from G Fuel, the Sonic Encyclo-Speed-Ia from Dark Horse Comics, a new collection of Pop! Vinyl figures from Funko, toys from Jakks Pacific, Jewelry from King Ice, apparel and accessories from Graph Gaming, enamel pins from FiGPiN, and a comic book miniseries from IDW. Ivo Gerscovich of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sega of America said:
Over the past 30 years spanning multiple generations, Sonic fans have created memories with their speedy Blue Blur. In order to commemorate the most iconic elements of the Sonic universe, we have partnered with some of the top licensees in the industry to produce collectible Sonic the Hedgehog merchandise that our enthusiastic and loyal fans can cherish for years to come.
This is just the tip of the iceberg too. SEGA says they’ll reveal more plans for the momentous occasion in the coming months. What do you expect to see announced?
