SEGA Won April Fools with Surprising New SONIC Game
SEGA may have won April Fools’ Day. To celebrate the holiday of pranks and mischief, they released a very bold new game for Sonic fans, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. This is a visual novel and point-and-click adventure that has the player assume the role of a new character who's going to their first day working on a train. Sonic and pals then show up to celebrate Amy’s birthday with a murder mystery party. It sounds pretty fun honestly. You can play it now on PC via Steam.
Fans can play as a new character who is starting their first day at work on the Mirage Express. When Sonic becomes the game’s victim, everyone works to solve the mystery behind his murder. As you uncover the truth, while interrogating some of your favorite characters from the Sonic series, you’ll ask yourself if this really is an innocent game, or perhaps, something more sinister…
I know what you’re thinking. There’s no way this is real and the Steam page is really a link to buy Sonic Frontiers or something. I was skeptical as well and actually downloaded The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog (it’s a free game) and played it for a few minutes just to be sure that it wasn’t really some elaborate ruse. I don’t know how long this game will be available, so I’d hurry and grab it if I were you.
