SEGA's Classic Game SHINOBI Is Getting a Feature Film Adaptation

The classic SEGA video game franchise Shinobi is getting a feature film adaptation at Universal Pictures with Sam Hargrave (Extraction) set to direct.

I loved playing the original side-scrolling game when I was a kid. In the game, players take on the role of Joe Musashi, a master ninja on a mission to rescue kidnapped children from the evil crime syndicate known as "Zeed."

The game blends stealth and combat as Musashi fights through waves of enemies using a combination of shurikens, swords, and powerful ninjutsu techniques.

Each stage of the game is divided into several levels, and I remember how hard it was to play through as it requires precision and timing to navigate each area successfully.

The film is being written by Ken Kobayashi (Sunny, Move On), and I’m actually kind of excited that the game is getting a film adaptation. If done right, it could be pretty badass!

There’s a good chance this movie could be awesome with the director of the Extraction films on board because those were a couple of kickass movies!
