Series Adaptation of THE PRINCE OF TIDES in Development at Apple TV+

A series adaptation of The Prince of Tides is in development at Apple TV+. The story is based on the 1986 novel by Pat Conroy that was first adapted into a movie in 1991 starring Nick Nolte and Barbra Streisand. The story follows “Tom Wingo, who travels to New York after his sister attempts suicide. While there, he develops a relationship with his sister’s therapist, Susan Lowenstein, while also delving into painful memories from his childhood.”

The Help writer and director Tate Taylor will write and executive produce the adaptation, with John Norris executive producing with Taylor under their Wyolah Entertainment banner. Craig Anderson and Sharon Hall also executive produce. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.

This is a good story with deep characters that will make for a solid dramatic story. Are you interested in seeing this story play out in series format?
