SESSION 9 Director Brad Anderson Directing Action Thriller THE SILENT HOUR with Joel Kinnaman and Mark Strong
Session 9 director Brad Anderson has got another film project lined up titled The Silent Hour with a great cast that includes Joel Kinnaman, Mark Strong, Sandra Mae Frank (New Amsterdam), and Mekhi Phifer(8 Mile, Divergent).
Kinnaman plays a Boston police detective in the movie “who suffers hearing loss after an on-the-job accident. Sixteen months later, he and his friend and partner (Strong) team up to battle corrupt cops trying to eliminate a deaf murder witness in the apartment building where she lives.” Frank will play Ava, the murder witness and Phifer plays Lynch, the ringleader of the rotten cops.
It’s always great to see Anderson land new directing gigs! I’ve been a fan since Session 9. Since then he’s made projects such as The Machinist, Transsiberian, Beirut, The Call, and more. He will direct the film from an original script by Dan Hall, and production is set to begin in Malta and Toronto in late February.
