Seth MacFarlane's THE ORVILLE Might End Up Having a FAMILY GUY Crossover

Seth MacFarlane's Star Trek-inspired series The Orville seems to have been getting a lot of love from the fans. It's a great series and if you aren't watching, you should be! It sounds like one episode next season may go in a very odd and interesting direction.

There's a chance will see the sci-fi series crossover with MacFarlane's other hit show, Family Guy! According to executive producer Rich Appel, a script has been written and it's just waiting for approval. He says:

"I sent the script on a slow boat [to approve]. But we end up live on the bridge of The Orville. We'll see."

So, we might actually see characters from Family Guy end up on The Orville ship interacting with the cast... fascinating. Some might think that would be silly and take things too far, but I'm curious to see how it might turn out. It could work brilliantly! They do have a talented team of writers working on the series and so far I've enjoyed all of the episodes that aired during Season 1.

Season 2 of The Orville will come with a longer season next year, and I kinda hope that this Family Guy crossover episode will get approved and be a part of it. Like I said, I'm just really curious to see what that would look like and how the story would play out.
