HBO has confirmed that we can look forward to a 10-episode limited series revival of Sex and the City that is heading to the cabler’s streaming service, HBO Max. The follow-up series will be retitled And Just Like That…, and it will follow three of the stars from the original HBO series and films. Sarah Jessica Parker will reprise her role of Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon will return as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis will return to play Charlotte York. Kim Cattrall will not return to play Samantha Jones, as the actress has previously made it clear that she is not interested in returning to the franchise.

Sex and the City was created by Darren Star based on Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name. Michael Patrick King, who directed several episodes as well as both films, is set to be back as executive producer alongside the three stars.

Deadline reports the revival series will follow “Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. It is scheduled to begin production in New York late spring.”
