Shailene Woodley Joins Lindsay Lohan in COUNT MY LIES Adapted Series at Hulu
Hulu has given an order to the limited series Count My Lies, starring Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls, Freakier Friday) and Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars, Big Little Lies) from former This Is Us executive producers/co-showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.
The project, based on the recently published novel by Sophie Stava, was set up for development at Hulu this spring with Lohan attached. She has now been joined by Woodley, with both set to executive produce in addition to starring in the series, produced by 20th Television where Aptaker, Berger and their The Walk-Up Company are under an overall deal.
In Count My Lies, when compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lohan) and Jay Lockhart, it seems she’s finally landed her dream job.
But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.
Aptaker and Berger will write, executive produce via The Walk-Up Company and serve as showrunners. Count My Lies is Stava’s debut novel. Published by Scout Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on March 4, it was the GMA Book Club pick for March.
