Shane Black's THE PREDATOR Film is Said to Have a Wicked Sense of Humor
Shane Black is one of my top 5 favorite directors. He understands the fine line between action and comedy and when to cross the two. He wrote Lethal Weapon and Monster Squad plus directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys, which was my favorite movie of last year. So it's no surprise to me that Sterling K. Brown, who stars in Black's new Predator reboot, says it has a wicked sense of humor.
All of Black's movies have some sense of humor to them, plus with him returning to the Predator franchise (he was an actor and writer in the original one), you know he must have had some ideas over the years of how he would change it up. In an interview with EW, Sterling said this about the new Predator film:
"Shane has his whole take on it and it's very different than the original Predator. It's got a really wicked sense of humor to it, which I love about it. And it's got a real camaraderie amongst the main characters that I think folks will be attracted to. That's pretty much all I can say."
I think that's awesome. The camaraderie is something that really can bring movies together. I have to say, I love what Shane Black did with the Iron Man 3 movie. I know the Mandarin pissed a lot of people off, but I thought it was such a unique take and interesting surprise that made the movie something a bit more than just another Marvel movie.
I'm excited to see what sort of tricks he has up his sleeve for this next Predator film. The Predator will be hitting theaters next year.
