Disney CEO Bob Chapek fired up Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings star Simu Liu after he referred to the film’s release as an "interesting experiment." Liu’s excitement for the film is at the top of its peak and in the heat of the moment, he fired back and slammed the comments made by the Disney CEO saying:

“We are not an ‘interesting experiment’. We are the underdog; the underestimated. We are the ceiling-breakers. We are the celebration of culture and joy that will persevere after an embattled year. We are the surprise. I’m fired the f**k up to make history on September 3rd; JOIN US.”

Well, I definitely plan on joining the Shang-Chi party because I’m pretty freakin’ stoked about the movie! I hope the movie does turn out to be a big success, but at this point, it’s hard to tell what’s going to happen due to the rise in cases of the COVID-19 Delta variant.

Chapek made his comment during Disney's Q3 earnings call on Thursday and it’s said that he was referring to the movie's 45 days exclusively in theaters before it streams on Disney+. But, Liu makes it perfectly clear in his tweet that he doesn't consider any part of Shang-Chi an "experiment."
