SHARKULA Trailer Answers The Age Old Question: What If Dracula Was A Shark?
From the studio that brought you Noah’s Shark, Wild Eye Releasing has a new dark tale to tell this June. A story about a town under siege by blood thirsty vampires dedicated to serving the sharks who continue the curse of Count Dracula! Sharkula looks about as good as Sharks of the Corn did, maybe slightly worse for the overly ambitious CGI work they have. The similarities between the two movies are staggering enough that I couldn’t believe that two different studios made them. It’s the same old song and dance of a cult of people dedicated to sacrificing others to shark deities, you know that old chestnut. The studio obviously knows exactly the kind of movie its making though and will likely be leaning into the terribleness with the acting, special effects, and sound effects.
Movies like this can be fun to watch with a group, but if my experience with Sharks of the Corn is any indication, this one will probably be a pass from me. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think. Is this the weirdest thing you’ve seen today? Will this make good riffing material?
