Shawn Levy Says He Will Be the One to Get Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in a Movie Together Again

Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds seem to have built a fun relationship with each other since they appeared together in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Over the years the fans have been wanting to see them in a film together again. While it would be awesome to see them return to the roles of Wolverine and Deadpool in a team-up movie, that most likely won’t happen. But, there are a lot of other movie ideas out there for them!

Director Shawn Levy has worked with both of these actors in the past with films such as Real Steel, Free Guy, and The Adam Project, and he’s determined to bring them together for a movie. He says confidently that he is going to be the one to make that happen.

During a recent interview with ComicBook, Levy shared:

"I'm not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a bitch who puts these two magnificent gods in the same movie together. That will happen and it will be me."

I wonder if he’s already got some kind of story or pitch that he’s come up with. Hell, he comes off as being so confident that maybe something is already in early development! I have no idea, but it’s only a matter of time because Jackman and Reynolds show up in a film together. I just hope it ends up being an awesome project for them. No matter what, a film with these two actors in it are going to be a huge box office draw.

Who knows, though. With the combined forces of Marvel and Levy, maybe, just maybe, they can pull Jackman out of his Wolverine retirement, and bring these two together in the MCU.
