SHAZAM! Casting Confirmed For Shazam Family

We’ve already known for awhile that the Shazam Family would be appearing in DC’s upcoming Shazam! movie. Now we know what actors will be playing each of the characters.

Thanks to the film’s credits, we’ve learned that Adam Brody will play Freddy, Meagan Good will play Darla, Michelle Borth will play Mary, Ross Butler will play Eugene, and D.J. Cotrona will play Pedro. Thanks to CBM, we have an image for you below that shows which actor is playing who:

We have no idea what the future plans of Shazam! are after this first movie, but i can’t help but think that these characters will play a much larger part in the future films that are made. At least I hope that they play with them a bit more. The casting for the characters is pretty fantastic!

Here’s the synopsis:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

Shazam! was directed by Annabelle's David F. Sandberg and also stars Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy, Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Ross Butler, Adam Brody, and Michelle Borth.

Shazam! will be released on April 5th, 2019.
