SHAZAM! Fights Doctor Sivana To Save His Foster Family in New TV Spot
We’ve got a new TV spot to share with you for DC’s Shazam! and it offers us new footage of the new superhero (Zachary Levi) fighting Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong) to save his foster family.
The movie had an early screening this weekend. I was traveling at the time so I wasn’t able to make it, but I’ve been hearing a lot of great things about it! I have yet to talk to someone that didn’t love the movie. So, it looks like DC has another hit on their hands!
I was hoping that director David F. Sandberg would deliver a great movie and I’ve heard it will surpass expectations. It feels good to be excited about a DC movie!
Here’s the synopsis:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Shazam! also stars Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy, Djimon Hounsou as The Wizard, Grace Fulton as Mary Bromfield, Ross Butler, Adam Brody, and Michelle Borth. It hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
