SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS Teaser Clip and Set Photos Show Off Zachary Levi's New Superhero Costume
Director David F. Sandberg is currently deep in production on DC’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods and some new set photos have surfaced. These photos feature Zachary Levi back in the role of Shazam, and he’s sporting a brand new costume. You can check out those photos in the Twitter link below. As you’ll see, the costume has been updated with a few new tweaks. I like it a lot better than the costume from the first movie.
Not long after the set photos starting popping up all over the internet, Sandberg released an amusing little teaser clip that you can watch below.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will continue the story of teenage Billy Batson, who upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!” is struck by the Living Lightning of the gods and transformed into his adult superhero alter ego, Shazam. He has the powers of six gods: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.
The rest of the family cast will return to reprise their roles, all of which received powers at the end of the first movie. Billy Batson played by Asher Angel and Zachary Levi, Freddy (Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody), Eugene (Ian Chen and Ross Butler), Pedro (Jovan Armand and D.J. Cotrona), Darla (Faithe Herman and Meagan Good), and Mary (Grace Fulton and Michelle Borth). Rachel Zelger also joined the cast along with Helen Mirren as Hespera, a daughter of Atlas and Lucy Liu as the villainous character Kalypso.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022.
