SHAZAM! Sequel Rumored to Start Shooting Next Spring

We’ve been getting bits of info over the last few months about the next Shazam! film, that’s it’s definitely happening, and that we are expected to get the same writer, producers and director. And now, according to a report from CBM, Zachary Levi confirmed this week that Henry Gayden has already started writing the script for the second film. Levi went on to say that he expects filming to begin next spring, or early summer.

This is super exciting news! My family loved the first film so much, and it ended with so many exciting possibilities and ways for the characters to develop and grow. We don’t have an official release date yet, but will probably be looking at sometime in 2021.
