SHAZAM! Star Zachary Levi is Joining Amazon's THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL Season 2
First of all, if you haven't watched the Amazon Prime original series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel yet, you really need to do that! The show is a really great and entertaining series about a young woman in the late 50s who, through a series of events, becomes a stand-up comedian. According to Deadline, Zachary Levi (Chuck, Shazam!) has joined the cast.
The series was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls) and Executive Producer Daniel Palladino (Family Guy) and it was written and directed by Sherman-Palladino and Palladino.
The series stars Golden Globe winner Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, "a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted — the perfect husband, two kids, and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent — one that changes her life forever."
Levi is said to be playing "an eclectic Manhattan doctor who suddenly starts orbiting the Weissman/Maisel world." It'll be fun to see him in this series.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel also stars Tony Shalhoub (Monk) as Midge’s father Abe Weissman, Alex Borstein (Family Guy) as Susie Myerson, Michael Zegen (Boardwalk Empire) as Midge’s husband Joel Maisel and Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men) as Midge’s mother Rose Weissman.
