SHE-HULK Director Kat Coiro Wants to Helm a Follow-Up HULK Film for Marvel Studios
The first season of Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has come to a close, and it was a pretty crazy ride, especially that wacky wild season finale. I’ve seen that fans are split on how they feel about this series. Some loved it, while others did not.
Regardless of what you thought about it, it set some things up for the future of the Hulk family in the MCU, and it’s going to be interesting to see what that will be. The big assumption is that it will lead to the World War Hulk story, but it really could be any number of things.
Whatever Marvel is planning for these Hulk characters which include Hulk, She-Shulk, and Hulk’s son Skaar, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law director and producer Kat Coiro wants to direct that project. When asked about it in a recent interview with CB, she said:
"100%. I mean, I said this in the beginning, and I still stand by this — one of my favorite things about the whole series is the chemistry between Tatiana and Mark, and their kind of sibling, big brother/little sister dynamic. And I think bringing that to the big screen would be a no brainer."
As of right now, we don’t know any plans for the future of these characters, but Ruffalo previously siad:
"I don't know. It certainly does suggest that. There has been some conversations about what happened in the two years where Hulk abandoned Banner and the Avengers [on Sakaar], and the emergence of Smart Hulk, which hasn't ever fully been answered. I think maybe we've given four sentences to that time period since then. It's really an interesting, exciting part of the Hulk story and Banner story.
"I do think that the trip to Sakaar is a good place to start and what that means to the idea of what the fans have been asking for — this idea of Planet Hulk or World War Hulk or just the journey that Banner and Hulk have to make to come to peace with each other. That's really interesting to me, and I do feel like there is some interest in exploring that down the line."
Would you want to see Kat Coiro direct World War Hulk or another Hulk movie? What kind of story would you like the next Hulk film to tell?
