Yacht Club Games and Nitrome have announced that after 4 years in development, Shovel Knight Dig will be released on September 23, 2022.

Coming to Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade, and Steam, players will pursue Drill Knight after he blasts apart Shovel Knight’s campsite and steals his loot. But Shovel Knight and Shield Knight will soon learn that the adventure goes much deeper than a simple heist.

A new trailer for the game featuring YouTubers Jirard Khalil and Arin Hanson has been released and the game looks great. Personally, you can skip the live action bits of the trailer to get to the game footage. It looks like that 4 years in development will definitely pay off with how polished and fun it looks.
