Showtime Is Developing a Limited Series About the U.S. Capitol Protest and Riot

Showtime is developing a limited series about the protesters that gathered at the U.S. Capitol and the people who rioted and stormed the Capitol building.

The series is being developed by Billy Ray and Shane Salerno, who previously worked on the Showtime series The Comey Rule. Ray will write and direct the series, while Salerno will be an executive producer.

It’s explained that the series will “examine and explore multiple points of view of the events leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, including the final days of the Trump administration, and culminate with the attack itself, the aftermath, and the FBI and Congressional investigations.”

As you know the U.S. Capitol Building was stormed and breached by Trump supporters as members of Congress were attempting to count the electoral votes that would formally declare Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.

I don’t need to recount what happened here because if you watched the news, then you all saw how things unfolded on that day.
