Netflix has released the first full trailer for its upcoming Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga. The movie pokes fun at the popular annual Eurovision singing competition and follows two singers from Iceland named Lars and Sigrit, who are played by Ferrel and McAdams.
The movie looks absolutely silly and if you’re a fan of the kinds of comedies that Ferrell makes, you’ll probably like what you see in this trailer. If you’re over his style of comedy, then this movie isn’t for you.
Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga comes from director David Dobkin (Clay Pigeons, Shanghai Knights, Wedding Crashers, Fred Claus, The Change-Up) from a screenplay was written by Ferrell and Andrew Steele. This is the synopsis:
When aspiring musicians Lars (Will Ferrell) and Sigrit (Rachel McAdams) are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.
The movie also stars Dan Stevens, Pierce Brosnan, Demi Lovato, Jamie Demetriou, Natasia Demetriou, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. It will premiere on Netflix on June 26th.
