SILVER AND BLACK Might Share a Spider-Man Villain with the MCU; Plus What Other Villains May Appear?

So, there was a lot of speculation a while back that maybe the movies Sony makes will also be apart of the MCU. This would widen the MCU from where it is now to something incredibly hard to keep track of. The speculation stopped pretty abruptly when Marvel stepped in and said no and clarified that the MCU and any Spider-Man spinoff movies are in a different universe. Meaning the Spider-Man movies are official and the Silver and Black, Venom, etc are not officially part of the MCU. But things are getting, even more, confusing with some recent rumors.

I'm gonna call these rumors until Sony or Marvel say anything. There has recently been some word on the street on what villains are to appear in the new Silver and Black film. One of which is Scorpion. This has many people wondering if they are going to get actor Michael Mando (Spider-Man: Homecoming) for both movie universes or if they will have a different version of Scorpion in Silver and Black.

The other villains rumored to appear in the Silver and Black film are Mendell Stromm, Tarantula, Chameleon, and Tombstone. This dashes my hopes of ever seeing Tombstone appear in the Netflix series. He fits so well in there, though! It looks like a solid line up of characters for Silver and Black if it's true. The idea is that the film will be an old school action film in the vein of The Dirty Dozen. 

So many questions are popping up with this rumor, and until an official word is given, we'll just have to keep speculating.

The connections between Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe may still be a little confusing, but we do know they take place in the same reality and, to that end, it's reasonable to assume that they might eventually share some characters.
