Simon Pegg and J.K. Simmons Set to Star in a Comedy Heist Thriller Called MY ONLY SUNSHINE

Simon Pegg and J.K. Simmons are set to star in a new movie together, and it sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun. The movie is a comedy heist thriller called My Only Sunshine.

The story revolves around “a passionately dysfunctional couple who orchestrate a bank robbery as an unconventional act of bloodthirsty marriage counseling. They try to make peace with the shocking mystery of their relationship throughout the violent hostage situation, discovered by a cop hostage negotiator who previously investigated a past related crime.”

That sounds like some pretty crazy and unconventional marriage counseling! The film is being directed by Mark Palansky (Penelope) from a script written by J.T. Petty and K. Reed Petty.

Production on the film will begin in the fall, with XYZ Films handling worldwide sales beginning at next month’s Toronto Film Festival and teaming with ICM Partners to rep U.S. rights.
