Simon Pegg Doesn't Think His STAR TREK Cast Will Be a Part of Noah Hawley's STAR TREK Film
Star Trek actor Simon Pegg has just shared some interesting thoughts and information regarding the next Star Trek film, which is being developed by writer and director Noah Hawley (Legion, Fargo). No information has been revealed for Star Trek 4, but it seems like this next film won’t really be Star Trek 4, and it might not even include the recent cast that we’ve become accustomed to.
Simon Pegg recently spoke to GoldDerby about the future of the franchise, and it’s in this interview he reveals that he isn't sure it involves his crew:
"I don't know anything about it. I think Noah Hawley's been hired to write something for Star Trek, which is very exciting. He's a brilliant writer and always creates interesting stuff. Whether or not we're involved with that, I don't know. I don't think so and I don't think Noah's thing is necessarily going to be Star Trek 4."
It would certainly be interesting if Hawley ended up drastically changing things up. Yeah, it would be a little weird to see a Star Trek film that doesn’t involve the most recent cast, but I’m up for seeing some new and different stories with new characters in this universe!
Pegg also went on to say that Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek film is still in play at Paramount Pictures and added that some Star Trek spinoff movies have been discussed.
Noah Hawley is a talented storyteller, and I’m excited to see what he ends up doing with this next Star Trek film, with or without the most recent cast. What are your thoughts on what Pegg had to say about the possible future of the franchise?
