Simu Liu Talks About What He Wants to See in SHANG-CHI 2

Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was a pretty spectacular action movie. It told an interesting story and the fight sequences were pretty rad. Like all of you, I’ve been curious about seeing what is next for the characters in the sequel, which has already been announced.

Well, during a recent interview with Complex, the film’s star, Simu Liu, talked about what he'd like to see in the sequel and the questions that he would like to see answered saying:

“I think just what Shaun decides to do with all this newfound power, you know? It kind of consumed his father, consumed Wenwu. I'm curious as to how someone much younger, much more inexperienced, would fare against the rings. Just this idea of all of a sudden being gifted something that's so powerful but also so dangerous. And then the other big question I have is, you know, in what way does Shaun fit in with the rest of the MCU? Who are you going to see? What kind of crazy team-ups? What kinda tie-ins, Easter eggs? I'm just as much in the dark and everyone else, so I don't know anything, but I'm excited to dive into that process.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Marvel has planned for the character, but I’m sure that all of these questions that Liu has will eventually be answered. I’m excited about the future of the character!

One of my big questions is, what is the origin of the Ten Rings!? Where did they come from and how will they tie into whatever is coming in the future. With Wong coming in at the end of the film and recruiting them, I hope to see them show up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
