SINISTER 2 Director Ciaran Foy to Direct Irish Folklore Film THE SHEE
This is a pretty exciting week for director Ciaran Foy. This past Friday, his film Sinister 2 hit theaters, and it was also announced that he has picked up another directing gig.
Variety announced that Foy will be helming the movie The Shee for Blumhouse Productions. Here is the description that was given with the report:
The story centers on a troubled young woman who has to deal with her tragic past on a remote island. “Shee” is an Irish term for a supernatural race in Irish mythology that lives underground or in an invisible world.
Blumhouse has been behind some of the highest grossing horror films of late, so it seems like they have a finger on the pulse of that genre. Foy must have what it takes to make it in their eyes.
