Sirfetch'd Has Officially Been Revealed for POKEMON SWORD and SHIELD
A new Pokémon has been revealed for Pokémon Shield and Sword. Sirfetch’d is the evolution of the classic Farfetch’d and features a number of changes. First, his typing changes from a Flying/Normal-type to a Fighting-type. That’s an interesting move in my opinion. Second, Sirfetch’d has white feathers, a shield, and his leek turns into a sword. Third, Sirfetch’d weighs an incredible 257.9 pounds! Farfetch’d weighed 33 pounds.
In addition, Sirfetch’d gets a new signature move called Meteor Assault:
“Meteor Assault is a new move introduced in these games that only Sirfetch’d can learn! Sirfetch’d points its leek at the opponent and charges toward them at great speed. This move is devastatingly powerful! However, it appears that the move also puts great strain on Sirfetch’d. It will be unable to take action immediately after using this move.”
Sirfetch’d will be exclusive to Pokémon Sword, and based on the official entry, it sounds like he’ll evolve when he gets to a specific level:
“Only Farfetch’d that have survived many battles can attain this evolution. When this Pokémon’s leek withers, it will retire from combat.”
